IV Sedation Dentistry - St. Johns, MI

The Premier Provider of IV Sedation in Clinton County

Over 1,300 Successful IV Sedation Cases… And Counting

Dental anxiety is common among many of our patients. For this reason, we offer multiple types of sedation, including IV sedation. Dr. Mark Connelly is certified to administer IV sedation, the most relaxing form of sedation we offer and one that puts patients into a conscious “sleep” state for their treatment. Few general dentists pursue the additional training to become certified in IV sedation. Dr. Connelly completed his training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and in 2006, was awarded Mastership in the College of Sedation in Dentistry after completing the educational requirements and passing a comprehensive examination. With over 1,300 successful cases completed, he is considered the premier provider of IV sedation in the St. Johns, MI area.

The Go-To Office for Sedation Dentistry

While we offer many forms of conscious sedation, including nitrous oxide and oral sedation, IV sedation is the only solution that lets you sleep comfortably through your appointment and wake with little-to-no memory of the procedure. This level of comfort is what many of our patients desire if they have dental anxiety or need to undergo multiple and complex treatments. Our team is trained in protocols used to monitor the pulse, blood pressure, and level of oxygen in your blood to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

Often called “laughing gas,” this anesthesia is administered via a mask worn and is quick to take effect.

Oral Sedation

Oral Sedation

A pill taken prior to the appointment and often used in conjunction with nitrous oxide to produce relaxing effects.

Local Anesthetic

Local Anesthetic

Administered via injection at the location of treatment, local anesthetic blocks sensations of discomfort.
